We
had Adam who is a
Proessional Reflexologist. He talked about what Reflexology is, its
history, and various ways of seeing clients body conditions from the
feet. There are the longitudinal and transverse zones in the feet, and each zone reflects certain part of the body. He also introduced how the feet can tell client’s personality and what’s going on with his/her life. (Haruka)

We
had Mr. Kazuo Tateishi
who is a Registered Acupuncturist as a speaker today. He talked about what the Qi is, what the Qi actually does, 5 classification of Qi, Yin,Yang and organ relationship, and 5 elements theory. In TCM, the Qi is essential for the body. All the elements are making balance and maintaining the body. It was a great opportunity to learn how to see the body from TCM perspective. (Haruka)

Japan!! Mr, Ishizuka who is a shiatsu instructor at Japan Shiatsu College in Japan. We learned about “Hook and Catch” technique to grasp and control Kori. It was a very good opportunity for our all members to learn about special technique!! |

have Naomi Eguchi personal
trainer as a guest speaker this time. She introduced “The Realine Concept” which is proposed by Mr. Gamada in Japan. The goal of this concept is “Optimizing Joing alignment and kinematics”. Also, she talked about how important to seek the cause of the problem and break out of the vicious cycle that is caused by the problem. It was a very good opportunity to learn another way to approach the body. (Misuzu)

One
of our members, Andy was our
guest speaker this time!! He was involved in many sports teams and took care of athletes’ conditions in Japan. He talked about Red flag cases for lower back pain, an assessment method “HOPS”, and posture patterns and lower back pain. We also made groups of 3 and practiced consultation using “HOPS”. I believe it was a great opportunity for the members to reflect on their way of consultation and treatment. (Misuzu)

had Yuko Nakamoto TCM Doctor
this time. She talked about what TCM is, basic theories such as Yin Yang, Five elements, and Eight principles and acupoints. Then she showed us some demonstrations. It was a great opportunity to learn different perspectives and techniques. (Misuzu)

had Mr. Eiji Yoshikawa as a
guest speaker this time. At first he taught us some boxing movement to be aware of our body. Then, he showed us a video about what he has been doing and he shared many stories that make us positive. He said his dream is to help other people’s dreams come true. Good Shiatsu treatments come from healthy mind. It was a good opportunity to revive our energy. (Misuzu)
