Continuing Professional Education Reports in 2018

We had David Dressler who is a RMT as a guest speaker. He talked about how to assess spinal joint misalignment and dysfunction and how we could begin correcting them. We also learned the types of body structure and the specific points of the body for the assessment. After that we practiced assessing each other. It was a great opportunity to learn what could bepaid attention when we touch the body.

Topic was skill and knowledge exchange session this time. Instructor was Shota-san!!
Who is an our JSC member and he was teaching to us about treatment for shoulder and back area.
We had a great opportunity and learned so much things from Shota-san and other practitioners.

We had Yuji Namikoshi-sensei who is a shiatsu instructor and Namikoshi school current head official at Japan Shiatsu College.
We learned Namikoshi style Abdominal Shiatsu.
It was a great opportunity especially for our new members to learn about treatment for any client.

We had Casey who is a shiatsu instructor at Canadian College of Shiatsu Therapy for the third time.
We learned about each trimesters and some techniques for pregnant women.
It was a very good opportunity especially for our new members to learn about treatment for pregnant women.

We had a Shiatsu exchange session this time.
By exchanging Shiatsu, we can learn so much from other practitioners.
It was good opportunity to share the skills.
After the session, we were all relaxed...

We had Ms. Chris who is a Registered Acupuncturist as a speaker today.
She talked about what is the Pain Management and how to treatment. The inside and outside of the body are connected, and we experienced how to treat for specific problem and used some tools. It was a great opportunity to us.

We had Mr. Kazuo Tateishi who is a Registered Acupuncturist as a speaker today.
He talked about what the Meridian.
The inside and outside of the body are connected.
All the elements are making balance and maintaining the body. It was a great opportunity to learn how to see the body from TCM perspective.

We didn't have any instructor this time.
It was a meeting where everyone exchanges our techiques.
It was a great opportunity to learned about new techniques from each other.
We can use it in our clinic.

We had Asada sensei who is a President of Namikoshi Shiatsu Mexico Association.
He talked about Effectiveness of Foundation Shiatsu Treatment on Thoracic Outlet Syndrome.
It was a very good opportunity to have a lecture based on Foundation Shiatsu.
We can use it in our clinic.

He talked about Psychological Techniques.
We learned that the person's personality and psychological state will be very important in treatment.
